Power Wire Run

Theres been some question on where and how to run the power wire.

I just upgraded mine to 1/0 for the upcoming system, so it was good time to get some pics.

First, under the dash theres a gray grommet. This is the one we keep talking about. Yes its big enough for 1/0!

This is from the inside obviously. Easies way to do this is to CUT it with a SHARP knife. Theres two parts to the grommet FYI. Then use some WD40 and the wire slides right in like a wet... Oh wait a second I better not finish that...

Now the engine bay. Its hard to see where it comes through the firewall. But theres a fuse block about right above it. If you shine a flashlight down you should see it.

Now this is the tricky part. You need to remove the stock air box to route the wire in a SAFE fashion. If you route it towards the motor your right next to the exhaust... not good... I removed the stock air box and the battery and battery tray. I think you can just get the air box out. 2 nuts only!

Below you can see it routed next to the shock tower.

Shown now with the air box back on:

Now back to the interior.

With 4 ga you can run it right down under the trim panel, then pull out the rear plastic and finish running it under that.

With 1/0 you need to go under the carpet. This is beast/easiest down with the drivers seat OUT. Dont fret its only two bolts... Plus it gives you a perfect time to sweep under the seat... lol Also you will need to remove the seat belt bolt. Same Torxbit as the seats ;)

Theres a couple humps you will run over. Make sure to leave a little slack in the line...

Heres mine under the carpet:

Thats all I got for now!

Ryan,
Great write-up for those who need to know how. Also why no WAI or CAI? I will sell you mine that bolts up to the crinkle hose shown in your pics above.

i was able to run my 1/0 diesel battery cable down the drivers side under all the trim plastic, and that stuff is hard to bend.

had to drill a large hole in the firewall though.
