looks good! the bumper cutout for the dual exhaust is really clean. nice!

Valley olds 08-22-2009 08:00 PM

Were you the guy who had said he had factory dual cutouts in the bumper? Also, the knobs under the head unit are the gains for your amps?

redrider07 08-22-2009 08:06 PM

The knob on the left is to control the reverse halo gauges, the one on the right is for the bass control of the sub:)

Valley olds 08-22-2009 08:08 PM

Cool. Car is coming out nice. Keep up the good work.

cavaliers60 08-22-2009 08:34 PM

I like the car minus the chrome lip around the side mirrors????? Looks ugly in my opinion... Everything else looks good though. :thumb:

heineck 08-22-2009 09:02 PM

nice bumper howd u do that? and ditch the chrome on the mirrors

C_EICK 08-22-2009 09:25 PM

Nice to see another washingtonian. I agree with everone, not a fan of the chrome mirror trim.

Redog 08-22-2009 09:33 PM

Looks great!

I'm loving the cutout. Gotta do it right or not at all ;)

redrider07 08-22-2009 11:08 PM

Thanks guys..yeah the chrome around the mirrors looks okay...I just got bored one day. For the bumper..I got a spare Alero bumper and had a body guy measure and cut the length to the same specs..then paint it and throw it on my car..he said it was pretty easy...he does really good body work here locally:)

Chipmunk-Alero 08-22-2009 11:42 PM

Grand Am Mirrors FTW!!

hok666 08-23-2009 01:31 AM

Ummm... NO! anyways... I like the set up.. Is that chrome trim around the mirrors? And that cut out is damm near perfect you do it youself?

mfuller 08-23-2009 01:57 PM

Clean. The red pointers look like they turned out well for the daytime, but I recall you saying they don't light up to well at night.

redrider07 08-23-2009 02:04 PM

I just used a permanent red marker and pulled off the needles. They don't light up good at night, but I can see them fine because my halo gauges are so bright. I searched and I could not find aftermarket needles, only ones for trucks and stuff. I like the looks way better in the day though...I hated the white on white:)

I am curious could we buy them for other cars..you know the red and orange ones and try putting them on...prolly heavier needles..and would not fit...I dont think they are universal by any means...your thoughts?

jrim 08-23-2009 03:06 PM

Car looks sharp minus the chrome on the mirrors and the "V6 H.O." badge.... that badge ruins the wholeee car. lol

redrider07 08-24-2009 01:18 AM

I just wanted a V6 badge..but this one matched the gold letting..that's the only reason I got it. Yeah appearance wise I am done, except maybe I brake caliper paint or diff wheels...I love my stock wheels though;=)

My Engine Mods:
CAI 3 piece
180 T-Stat
DHP PCM 1.0
CAT Back Exhaust

Possible Future Mods?
S&S Headers
Pacesetter Catback Exhaust
Crank and Alt Pulley..although diff would be neglible

I have already spent to much money..need to stop!!!!!

Oldsnut 08-24-2009 01:37 AM

Ditch the chrome on the mirrors. Bumper looks great!

The V6HO emblem not sold on. Could just be tellin everyone your HO has a V6.;)

redrider07 08-24-2009 02:47 AM

Haha...true. I should take it off, that way people just assume it has a 4 cylinder engine:)

rida125 08-25-2009 04:48 PM

I think that you should lose the Gold Emblem and get chrome ones to go with the chrome trim along the windows. In my opinion i think gold does not really go well with red.

clinton_62 08-29-2009 09:52 PM

My question is how hard was it to make that lil plastic molding under the head unit for your knobs???
