let me know what you guys think of this, i originally made my 3rd clear and frosted it with the spray frosting....bad idea since it started going yellow, so i thought i would go back to red so i wouldnt have to keep buying bulbs after they burned the color off...this is what i came up with.

ill get a lit pic in a min.
here it is lit, i still need to add the border so it isnt so rough on the edges.
ok my question to you is can you make me a clear cover for the 3rd brake light
i have all led bulbs in the 3rd light and would like a piece of clear plastic not the red cover can ya do this??? |
bdyman, thats what mine started out as, just regular clear lens. then i decided to frost it...that is where i messed up, the frost stuff started to yellow and looked like ass so i redid it...
this is about the best pic i can find when i had it all clear....this has been a long time ago.....
i dont get what's different about those
its not that different than stock, its darker durring the day, and has a different light design when the brakes are hit.
ok the only thing i need from u is the clear cover that`s it
i have all blue led bulbs and want a clear cover how much and how long will it take |

^this guy's the poop for our tail lights...i wish i could afford a set of 'em
hey anderbra, ever thought of doin a clear 3rd brake and etching or sandblasting "alero" or some sort of design into it?
it'd be pretty easy, you could just throw a vinyl overlay on it, and sandblast it, then pull the vinyl overlay off. or make a more durable one if you wanted to mass produce them, you could sell them for about as cheap as a vinyl overlay itsself, might be cool, who knows |
thats a good idea, something to think about...thanks.
Okay, whats the cost of a set of those tail lights? I've got to have a set, heh.
My 3rd brake light was a clear piece of plexiglass, until I painted it blue. It's pretty easy to make your own, you'll just have to put a silicon seal on it afterwards.
