Grand Am hood????

Ok so I was wondering if a Hood from a Grand Am would fit an alero?

Fenderxcore 10-05-2009 12:55 PM

Nah the Grand Am hoods kinda flow with their headlights if I'm not mistaken

i agree.. i mean im pretty sure it would fit, but it would be out of place, and just wouldnt look right.

rida125 10-05-2009 12:58 PM

Has anybody ever done it

Kinda sorta...I've seen someone do the whole grand am front end on an alero before not just the hood

Oldsnut 10-05-2009 01:06 PM

It won't fit where it meets the headlights.

bkathsalero 10-05-2009 01:06 PM

It wont fit with the headlights. Follow my footsteps with the g/a carbn fiber front end swap

JLw7123 10-05-2009 01:08 PM

ya you would need to do the front end swap

rida125 10-05-2009 01:20 PM

How difficult would a front end swap be, and how much do you think it would cost?

00WhiteAlero 10-05-2009 01:22 PM

just buy a grand am geez

If you want a Grand Am, buy a Grand Am.

rida125 10-05-2009 01:37 PM

Ok so the reason I ask is a friend found a carbon fiber hood for a grand am for 75 dollars brand new.

alerored04 10-05-2009 01:53 PM

I would buy that and resell it if it was in ok shape.

kwhauck 10-06-2009 12:13 AM

i'll give you $80 for it, there you made $5....

pimpalero2003 10-06-2009 06:13 AM

I'd buy it and goto gagt and would sell it

lonnie 10-06-2009 07:40 AM

I didn't bother reading the rest of this thread, but I'm sure it has been said before. Its a little silly to think about putting grand am parts on an alero...other then the side view mirrors.

Redog 10-06-2009 12:09 PM

Won't fit /story

clutch1 10-06-2009 04:51 PM

If you want an aftermarket Grand Am hood, you could get a fiberglass one and just fix the front so it flows with the headlights.. since fiberglass is easy to mod/ work with.

-Alero- 10-08-2009 03:12 AM

you have to do an entire front end conversion i think ive seen 1 alero with it since ive been here....it looked out of place....but different.

but the alero front imo is one of its nicest perks.

GA_turbo 10-08-2009 03:47 AM

you should just let me know where is at so i can buy it, i have a grand am.
