eBay steal! Hifonics BXi2610d
With my newest project build starting to come together, i opted out of the BXi2610d as i just don't have the funds to keep up with electrical, as well as some other misc. reasons, and have gone another route. Yes there is a little over a day left for bidding, but the seller titled the amplifier wrong, as in "26100", as opposed to 2610d, less traffic has went through, and could be a steal for those interested. :) Great power for the price, just make sure you have the electrical to back it up. ;)

I'm confused? ( not that hard to do lately) what do you mean by "make sure you have the electrical to back it up"?? Would you require a larger alternator to power it or something??
|
are you selling it or buying the amp.
|
I am neither selling, nor purchasing the amplifier. It was one of my options for purchase for a while, but with my current funds, i will not be able to upgrade my electrical as much as i should to consider running this amp constantly. And to answer the electrical question, i am talking about the vehicles charging system. In order to run this amp (rated at 2600rms, more like 2200ish at 14.4) properly, you would more than likely NEED a HO alternator, and the battery bank to go along with it. There's no use in buying a Bigazz amp without the electrical current to back it up. If you let your voltage drop too low for too long, poof.. :( Bye bye investment, off to the amp repair shop. To typically pick this amp up new you're looking at around 350.00ish... great $1/watt amplifier. :)

why don't you just upgrade the big three and get a second battery like a Kinetik battery. http://www.kinetikaudio.com/2009/default.asp

I already have the big 3 done in 1/0, and will have a kinetik hc1400 in the mail soon. I went with the 2010d as opposed to the 2610d, and took the subwoofer choice down a notch as well. Even with the big 3 and kinetik, this amp is rather power hungry, and all i see happening is me ticking off my stock alternator while dropping into the 10-11V's range. :ninja: Bad idea... :/ |
ya well what sub did you get.

It's a secret for now. :) I'll have a thread up when everything gets in and i have it all put together! :scpimp: |
i run hifonics amps, they are only power hungry under heavy bass loads i have the brutus bxi 2008d and it does hammer hard.
|
Nice! I'm running the 1610d right now on my old school subs, and at 2-ohms it's still getting the job done! :thumb: I'm looking to double my power here soon, and stick with hifonics. I've owned two of their amps, and for the money i've saved, i don't regret in one bit! What are you powering with those jabartram? Both at 1-ohm?
|
the brutus is at 1ohm the zues is my mids/highs at 4ohm.

Nice man, what are you ordering? |
A sub from RE audio 12 inch mx series. I might buy this amp. http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BXi-160...3D10%26ps%3D63

$180.00 for the refurbished old 2006 model? Why not just go $185.00 for the brand new 2008 model?! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-...fAudioQ5fVideo Great amplifer, it's what i'm running right now! It's supposed to replace the 1608 which already replaced the 1606 you're looking at... ;) Newer technology ftw. :)
|
oh I did not see that thanks. the MX series subs are a lot of money so i am going to get one at a time just like that amps.
