remaned engine

my 3400 lifter went out and i got a remaned engine back into it. 3 months later...again lifter went out. now i got another remaned in there and i lookedbelow the air filter and noticed several o-rings bolts and nuts layin there. they are quite small o-ring in probably 1/2 inch in diameter. any clue where they might go

If there are a number of them its more than likely the Fuel Injector O Rings.

There are 2 rings total per injector- 1 in the rail 1 in the intake.

These O Rings are about 1/2-3/8 in diameter and fairly thick- I would say .09" round or so.

And you went through a re-manufactured engine in the same way your original? Thats weird...

Whoever is doing your swaps is at least taking the time to change the fuel injector o rings at least.

the first time was a oil sending unit the second was a lifter so they gave me a remaned engine again. the orings aint that thick but they might of came off the old engine and they were to lazy to throw them away

Who is the installer and the remanufacturer?

I have a Jasper rebuit engine in my 1995 Escort (which dropped a valve seat) and this Jasper engine has almost 120,000 miles on it, and the only parts I've had go bad on it was the timing belt tensioner.

Rhino Engines. IMO, unless you are going to get one at the Dealer, get a Jasper or a used one from a known source (like someone here). Or just take your chances with a JY one, but don't ay much for it so you won't care if it's bad.

I once paid $4000 to have a Jasper rebuilt engine in my 1995 Escort. Except for the timing belt tensioner, it's been perfect. Rebuilt engines have a bad reputation for a reason, for the most part they suck and it pays to buy a good brand name like I did.
