tsudo 4-2-1 header
so i finally installed my tsudo header onto my 2.2 ecotec.
my first thoughts were, didn't do much, but my o2 sensor wasn't plugged in. but now i've been driving on if for about 2 weeks, no leaks from the header yet (fingers crossed for a long time) and i can say i'm glad i installed it. installation wasn't very hard. getting it in without taking the valve cover off is a pain, but possible. and the performance, i can feel it pull a little more low to mid rpms, but not a whole lot different. i believe this is because i have it crudely attatched to stock exhaust. and i do believe this has helped gas mileage. i'm going to keep tabs on it, but from what i can see from this 500+km trip i took today, it did infact help so my final opinion. glad i bought it, but be sure to install it properly so you dont have exhaust leaks |
Good to hear. I would go ahead and retorque the header bolts a few more times just to be sure (heat cycling tends to loosen them up until they are good and stretched).

i've been doing that, just to be sure, lol
and for you guys interested in teh gas mileage. drove 270km, filled the car up. 33.67mpg. that was fighting the wind, and some city driving. drove around regina all day, 60km. and this was hard acceleration. 26.13mpg. i'm sure i can get that up if i drove nicely all day and the drive home, 200km. slight breeze pushing the car. 38.76mpg i figure not to bad at all. |
nice dude. i' getting 24mpg all on city and VERY little highway
