Monsoon/Aftermarket stereo

Okay, I'm not new to car audio at all, but I am new to factory amps. I've done some searching here but can't really get the answers I'm looking for.

First of all, I have the monsoon amp. My 6x9's are blown, now I know I can't just throw in any regular pair of 6x9's to replace them, but seeing how both factory speakers are blown, if there an aftermarket replacement that is wired for the factory amp? I would like to replace my head unit, keep the factory amp for the speakers and then run an aftermarket amp for 2 10"s in trunk eventually. Can I run an aftermarket deck through the factory amp without any major modification? Other than the usual chime/wire harness adapter?

keeping the factory amp with aftermarket speakers will not do a single thing if you replace the deck, the factory deck is designed for the factory amp and wont work they will just bypass each other and act like it was never there. your better off just rewireing it with 12 gauge wireing or 16

With the factory amp you either leave the system stock, replace speakers OR replace radio and rewire to all speakers.

No other alternative that works (well).

okay go buy the $120 harness for our cars not the cheap one cause then you wont have sound!! so get that then connect the power antenna wire(blue) to the acc(red) wire that will power up the monsoon amp!! and the harness will have 4 rca's on its and that goes to the back of your new deck.. there will be 4 wires for each speaker and the one side is tweater and the other is midbass so connect accordingly and the sub is just as easy to connect if you need help just ask

Just run new wires until you can upgrade to an aftermarket amplifier for them. A new head unit will already give you typically at least 10-15rms more per speaker than a factory deck. I don't have the "luxury" lol of the monsoon system, but have considered myself lucky for avoiding all of the pain.

but if you already have a monsoon system the amp is good! it sounds great if you replace the speakers!! unless you plan on adding an amp for them use the monsoon amp it works just fine and all the wires go to the left hand corner of the trunk so you could connect your amps there if youd like and then theres no extra wiring ;)

There are no good factory amps.

Hell head unit power off a decent head unit would be better than.

Ever look at a factory amps guts?

Having to run all new wiring is what I figured. Shit. So I need to buy all new speakers in order to run an aftermarket deck. That is insane.
