HID question
 

I bought and installed the DDM 35w 6000k kit and installed it. Now my question is this, is anyone running lights without the difuser? Its the little cap that sits over the bulb. I I was thinking of removing mine. Any opinions from anyone will be greatly appreciated.

From what I understand, you are supposed to take that cap off. If you don't, I think it gets wayy too hot in there and it will melt it. I think the cap is just for shipping protection, but others will definitely chime in.

the diffuser isn't the plastic cap. its the metal guard in the normal lights.

leave it in. there is too much glare/spread if you don't. painful for oncoming traffic.

I had a grand prix that I had bought an HID kit for, back on 99.... I had removed the diffuser and the light output had gotten better. The beam was more uniform and stretched farther. Any ideas or opinions?

Also, it seems that my beam pattern doesn't look as good as some of the other pics posted here.
