any wayyyyyy
i do know how to permanatey fix xbox 360's ring of death so send me the xbox and 20 bucks (10 for hardware 10 for labor.) and i'lll fix it up for youu!!!
lemme know ahaha

lonnie 09-09-2010 05:43 PM

I think its stupid to do that permanently but it is easy to do that. It's also easy to fix the red ring of death on an xbox 360. You can even find tutorials on youtube all day.

widbyj 09-09-2010 09:31 PM

Sure, it can be done but why? More fun to have a full computer in the car. My son has one in his Eagle that can do all; music, internet, gps and gaming.

tunerkid 09-10-2010 05:57 PM

ya well for some people that aren't good with electronics it's hard and a easy way to make money for me.
don't got to trash on everything i say now

robalero 09-10-2010 06:11 PM

id rather hook up a xbox 360, ps3 and a computer.

in the long run of it all, probably just a pc maybe if I dont find another project on another car to do it too

tunerkid 09-10-2010 06:15 PM

it's not me that's hooking it up in my car
it's some random guy doing it in his.

cavaliers60 09-10-2010 06:33 PM

I'm kinda curious as to how someone could put a game system like that in their car... They draw quite a bit of power...

tunerkid 09-10-2010 06:36 PM

i have noooooo clue. i'm guessing amps and stuff but i'm no electronic expert. ya i have to say that so you guys don't think that i think i'm a know it all bad ass. which obviously we all know all you guys are

JLw7123 09-10-2010 06:42 PM

well you would need a way to plug the xbox in by using an adapter and if it were me hooking it up i would get another battery

cavaliers60 09-10-2010 06:46 PM

I would think you would have to run it's own electrical since using an adapter for the 12v system would short it out.

JLw7123 09-10-2010 06:49 PM

ya i would

robalero 09-10-2010 06:52 PM

actually people use 12v adapters and have no issues, its been done quite often however not recommended to do how long period of times like most use them for.

easiest way is to use a second battery and an easy put in and put out design so the humidity and moistoire doesn't get in and ruin the electrical motherboard and such in the xbox since it wasn't designed for it to begin with

wrestlingandrunning 09-10-2010 06:52 PM

Power inverter would do it. My uncle had one on his old van he'd use to charge power tools, or even run ones that weren't cordless. The power inverter was f-ing huge though, and most likely expensive.

tunerkid 09-10-2010 06:53 PM

haha i don't know lol
his problem not mine
i just would never put a game system in a car haha. my opinion

cavaliers60 09-10-2010 06:57 PM

yeah I wouldn't either.

thats what it is called damn i was trying to think of the name. ya my buddy has an power inverter in his car.

widbyj 09-10-2010 07:11 PM

The power issue is why a computer makes more sense overall. Computers run on DC anyhow so all you have to do is buy a DC to PC power supply, they are fairly common and not too expensive. Add a 7" touchscreen display which mounts in the stereo area and wireless keyboard/mouse for emergencies. Everything runs from a 12v 30Amp feed including head-unit (to send sound to Amps). Obviously for real gaming you'd want a bigger screen but otherwise it works out very well.

Back to subject - Xbox will have to run from an inverter cause nobody makes a DC to Xbox power supply, yet...

cherrington17 09-10-2010 08:21 PM

anyone who is skilled in electronics could make one, given the proper equipment. Just need a few caps, a transformer some transistors and a decent rectifier. It would definitely be easier to run it through a very clean inverter though.

tuner, learn some damn grammar. good lord. Your posts barely make it passed my "hyped up teenage girl at a beiber concert filter" BARELY.

also... why is this in "alero appearance" if your not at all interested in what the guy wants done, or how to do it? also.. appearance isn't for electronic mods.

tunerkid 09-11-2010 01:18 PM

you all complain about keeping threads clean when your the ones who come in here and get them dirty.
this was clean until you came in cherrington17
drop the bs dude. seriously.
i know none of you really like me but i don't care.

:yahoo:

You did misspell "past" though, Cherry. But we understood what you were saying.
