check for leaks, perhaps the slave or master cylinder is leaking

Ok I'm here now, you're good.

Mostly sure the slave cylinder is leaking. Just fix it when you get tired of carrying a bottle of fluid to add every day, they aren't too expensive. Depending on how old your clutch is and how the pedal is you might wanna replace that while your at it too,

Most likely the issue is the slave or master, my guess is the slave. However in my experience it is never what you think it is.

no, the slave cylinder isn't much. i replaced mine.

the expensive part is pulling the tranny out

Devinbajus 01-17-2011 12:29 AM

ya it better not be the slave cylinder i just replaced it 2 months ago when i blew my clutch the resivour was empty filled it up and the clutch feels like new so im gonna replace the whole resivour and all the lines.

Did you install the clutch yourself?

Devinbajus 01-24-2011 11:52 AM

no paid a mechanic to do it. would have done it but didnt feel like taking the dront end apart to do it

jayson_waltz 01-24-2011 02:22 PM

well if a mechanic did it there is a whole new way of looking at this. If it isn't the master and it is something leaking that he was handling, you shouldn't have to pay a dime for the leak to be fixed.

Could be a fluid or grease on the clutch disk causing it to slip as well. If he had oil on his hands or whatever.
