i have chrome rims obvioulsy.... im going to a car show and they are gonna be dirty when i get there. cuz i use like windex or anyother kind of window cleaner on chrome rims or do i have to use water and rim cleaner?

FormulaNERD 08-13-2004 11:16 PM

neverdull, comes in a can with a cotton like material... works really well

bnight04 08-13-2004 11:44 PM

^^^^ neverdull is really good

actually while were on the subject of cleaning crome, what do some of you suggest for cleaning chrome. i got polish and all that good stuff but how about getting them nice and clean before polishing...cuz i dont trust a lot of the rim cleaners that are out there.

FormulaNERD 08-13-2004 11:57 PM

mothers wheel mist works good, it's non abrasive, and can be used to clean all metals.

and for polishing, mothers billet metal polish is similar to neverdull, both work well, but i think the mothers is a little more expensive

Pimpalero03 08-14-2004 12:14 AM

well so can i use windex on em. lol i dont have the cloth thingy ur talking about and i cant rinse off rim cleaner cuz i wont ahve water

FormulaNERD 08-14-2004 12:29 AM

no, neverdull comes in a can full of this cotton type material, it has the neverdull on it, you use it and toss it... then you can wipe up what little residue there will be(if any) with a rag.

-Alero- 08-14-2004 12:54 AM

do not use windex, cause windex has amonia (or how ever you spell it) in it and if that stuff gets a chance to dry on yoru rims, it destroys the polish, i was pissed when it happened to me

Silentalero 08-14-2004 01:38 AM

tellin u, tinfoil!!

Oldsman 08-14-2004 01:48 AM

never use windex or any window cleaners on your rims. because of ammonia. miswell piss on your rims.

just use chrome polish. if the rims are little dirty then just using chrome polish is fine.

if they are pretty dirty then carry a spray bottle of water with ya and just spray the rims down and wipe off and then use chrome polish.

ptrudel 08-14-2004 08:15 AM

neverdull's really good...does a great job, and doesn't require that much scrubbing either

bdyman 08-14-2004 09:03 AM

that guy is right!!! never use glass cleaner on chrome
eastwood.com semi-chrome polish is made for chrome and aluminum
never dull is not good for chrome and or aluminum either, scratches the chrome and aluminum
semi-chrome polish is the shiznit!!!!

Daytona 08-14-2004 09:09 AM

Is semi-chrome sold in stores?

And is there a cleaner good for cleaning headlight covers? One of mine on the Daytona is yellowing/hazing.

r53silver91s 08-14-2004 09:43 AM

I used to just use water and about 2 times a month use a good chrome polish

that is how neverdull cleans the aluminum. it scratches off the residue.

so this is some good stuff for chrome.......

Young people. stop trying to find the damn easy way out of doing something. do you find an easy way to wipe your ass?

want to clean chrome.............water (with or without soap) and chrome polish.....PERIOD. do it the right way not the halfass way.

ptrudel 08-14-2004 11:00 AM

i ain't ever had a single problem with neverdull on my wheels...

Oldsman 08-14-2004 11:07 AM

you won't the first time or second time. but after awhile you start noticing fine scratches in your chrome. and when the sun hits them you will really see them.

trust me from someone who has cleaned this much chrome and it is still like brand new and it is 15+ years old

ptrudel 08-14-2004 11:41 AM

hmm...i guess i'l just stick to mothers only then...

Daytona 08-14-2004 11:48 AM

I like some mothers, too, as long as I don't have to deal with their kids. :P
