wheels

so i am in the market for some new wheels. preety sure i'm going to go with some 17's.
i love the way cars look with a drop and some hella flush wheels to the fenders. i'm not too educated on rim sizes here so i was wondering if anyone would know the the rim size i should get for 17 in diameter and then just flush enough to go inside the wheel wells. like width wise? if you know what i mean by that?
my alero is dropped enough to where the wheels are just evenwith where the wheel wells start.

Hella flush = hella gay

but if you must a 17x8 in the front with probably a goofy ass 205 stretched will work....the rears will probably need closer to a 17x9, or you can use spacers to put out the 17x8 to exactly the right amount.....

hella flush is retarded...say good bye to drive-ability, and also all the cash in your wallet because you will be replacing tires every month... flush looks good...hellaflush is dumb.

i'm not doing the hella flush with negative camber, i'll have correct camber angles but i want a really flush look. / <--my tires will not be in any way like that.

Ttop191 01-26-2011 06:07 PM

so like i said...flush not hellaflush

Malibu369258 01-26-2011 06:29 PM

The flush I think you are talking about is what I'm working on for my Miata right now. You just have to get the right offset and rim width to make it look good. You'd need to be lowered some too, otherwise you'll have some mad wheel gap...

yes ttop then i am talking about flush. hella flush is retarded. i always thought hella flush just meant it was a crazy tuck, not negative camber and a tuck lol

Ttop191 01-26-2011 07:39 PM

tuck is totally different too......

tuck:

Malibu369258 01-26-2011 07:45 PM

This is what I'm shooting for with my Miata, although this is a NB instead of a NA generation.

Ttop191 01-26-2011 07:49 PM

see miata's are funny because the sides of the wheel well are in so much farther than the top...but i guess you would call that flush if using the top of the fender as reference

but poke if referencing from the sides :p

kwhauck 01-26-2011 07:59 PM

It can be done and not look extremely stupid.....

Here is a local guy James...

yeah it is a lot better and still nice too, because he is starting to get some national coverage from some of the smaller magazines like eurowerks and some other stance? magazine........

kwhauck 01-27-2011 03:05 PM

Flush? You want your wheels like mine...:scpimp:

You can't get any better.....

FrankTheTank 01-27-2011 03:35 PM

hard to tell they are flush since the car sits so high.

Just follow the line in the second pic, it's flush. But yes the coilovers were all the way up for installation of the 5-speed. It isn't like that anymore......
