Sprint Eibach or H&Rs

so basically i read all of the threads about springs and suspensions. My question after reading ALLLLL of that is WHICH IS THE BEST OVERALL????COMFORT ...DROP IN INCHES...LOOKS....with AGX struts and 18 inch rims..if yall have any pics please fell free to post them..words would do just fine too....Like i said i read all of the other threads already but still cant get 1 answer.ohhh..price is not a factor...

Well if you are looking purely for comfort, just find out the spring rate on each, lower the spring rate = softer the ride...nice and easy

Best overall would be the H&Rs......

i really appreciate your reply...i thought those were the best too. so ive rode in a alero with eibach springs and new struts. is the ride as smoooooooth. and once again thanks....i know this subject is on here a million and one times its just that i needed a straight to the point answer instead of all the ring around the rosie answers!!!!!!!thanks

the type of spring you choose should match your driving style. Do you enjoy taking corners hard and squealing the tires, or do you like to take it nice and slow and not feel any bumps...for instance, i push my car so I would much prefer a stiff suspension that corners well as opposed to a soft suspension which would cause more body roll

get H&R springs.

Ttop191 01-31-2011 01:50 PM

^ you can't just tell him what to get, just like i said he needs to make that choice depending on what style of ride he wants...

jelani6428 01-31-2011 02:49 PM

sometimes i like to push it and sometimes i take my time....its an everyday driver though. my real goal is to stiffen the suspension as much as possible for a smoother ride but i also want a decent drop. im looking to buy sway bars and the strut tower braces too to make it extra stiff. but to answer u shortly i prefer a stiffer sus. so i can take corners more easily.

that's a contradiction, a stiffer suspension will provide a harsher ride. sounds to me like you want a mid grade spring so you won't have to much body roll, and just a little bounce, then yes get the strut tower bars and some tie bars to make it stiffer from side to side.

jelani6428 01-31-2011 03:55 PM

soooo...i should basically go with the H&Rs

kwhauck 01-31-2011 04:28 PM

yes.....

Of every spring and damper combination I've tried (and there have been a few), I've found H&Rs to have the best compromise between comfort and handling for a daily driven street car.

Can't speak for the others, but I loved the Eibach's on my Alero.

jackal2000 01-31-2011 08:18 PM

i started with eibach's and now i have sprints which i like more better.

eibach drop is virtually non existant. dont get em if ur lookin for a drop. ride quality is better though

Philbar71 01-31-2011 10:24 PM

Not to thread jack, but whats every ones opinion on Drop Zone springs?

jelani6428 02-01-2011 07:57 AM

Thanks ....so i guess H&Rs it is then........@philbar71...ive probably went through every thread about springs and what i found out from the start that drop zones are not wat u want...i cancelled those out of my list from the start but thats just me...
