stupid question?
I want to put "Audi" style strip lights on, easy to do yes. But heres the stupid question part-what would I have to do to make them my DLR's instead of my high beams?? And would they shut off like normal DLRs at night?
|
simple, go to your relay box, cut the wire coming from pin 87 (IIRC) on the DRL relay, then simply tap the power wire from your LED strips into that wire :)
Edit: just checked AllData, should be a dark blue wire coming off that pin that you need to tap into Goodluck, can't wait to see the results :thumb: |
Meh these Audi strips are so played out. IMHO I don't even think the Audis look good with them
As for you question, if you do it like Ttop said, They WILL go off at night since the DRL's run on a different circut. If I were you, I would fuse it and or relay it from an igntion source. This way whenever the car is "on" so will these lights. I would also take apart the housings like you were clearing your corners and run them inside the lens. Should give a clean look, nice install, and keep the lights safe |
Are you lookin to do em inside the headlights or down where the foglights are? I've got mine where the fogs used to be. They are hooked up to my factory fog light switch.
