Hey all

New guy here, from the heart of the rust belt, Northern Ohio. I have a 2001 Alero GL2 sedan in Ruby Red, with 140000 miles on it, bought it new in 2001 and its been a darn good car, up until the head gasket issue...I plan on driving it until the wheels fall off, although as an older gearhead, ('67 Camaro/327, '68 Firebird /400, yeah, I'm a GM guy)I find the mods you guys are doing fascinating!

Welcome to the site man. Pics?

Yes pics please. And welcome. Any mods you are interested in doing? What part of Ohio specifically? I hail from Ashtabula County.

Erie county, You know, I don't have any pics right now, will try to get some when the head gasket thing is done.

/Not a fast mechanic but a thorough one/

....Which is the best kind. It doesn't have to be fast, as long as its tough.

welcome aboard. It seems most aleros are owned in the rust belt...

Probably (IMHO) because of the traction control and abs. With the fat tires, its the best handling snow car I've ever owned.

^^ I agree.

p.s. WELCOME

 mine doesn't have either of those... and its still beastly in the snow.

You know, Doc, your FAQ is one of the best items I have ever seen on Aleros. Good Job!

Don't thank me. I just compiled the list when I got tired of hearing the same thing over and over. The info was community sourced.
