whats the problem here??/???

okay i was driving one day and my tracc off, service vehicle soon, and anti lock lights all came on at oncee, what could be the problem????

Gr1m 04-09-2011 03:28 AM

one of your front wheel hubs.

dj01alero 04-09-2011 10:41 AM

i really hope not i just changed them damn things

would that make it shif hard?

Redog 04-10-2011 12:05 AM

It's a hub or did you not clear the code after putting new ones in?

No on the shifting. Yes on Cruise Control and ABS system

Jroc26 04-10-2011 12:19 AM

If its shifting hard and the abs and trac lights are on it could be the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission is your speedo working ok?

Gr1m 04-10-2011 10:15 AM

make sure that you plugged in both of the wheel sensors, it might not have clicked into place when you replaced it and then the vibrations could have knocked it out.

dj01alero 04-10-2011 12:27 PM

the speedo like jumps up and down and it like wobbles irt wont stay in one place unless im drivinfg sloww

dj01alero 04-10-2011 12:28 PM

thanks for helpingg

Jroc26 04-10-2011 05:04 PM

Since your speedo is messed too ill bet money its your vehicle speed sensor

Gr1m 04-10-2011 07:39 PM

yep, the front wheel hubs have the sensors integrated into them, i would imagine those sensor are the wheel speed sensors and are used to regulate the ABS system as well. did you use cheap ebay wheel hubs or did you get a quality product like timken?

Jroc26 04-10-2011 09:18 PM

Its the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission, not the wheel hubs.

dj01alero 04-10-2011 11:24 PM

i got the hubs from an autoparts store my uncle owns a shop and ordered them

Blade 10-10-2011 07:46 AM

I was getting this problem for a long time. Once I replaced both hubs, I havent had this issue since.

Papa Rad17 10-10-2011 04:46 PM

My buddy had the same problem on his, he replaced the hubs and it solved it all. Also, are is the a loud humming/whining? Typically when they are going out and start having those lights they do that to. Of not, could it be the back ones? Sence you have the abs and trac control then they'd be wired up too.

kROntast1c 10-14-2011 03:24 AM

i had the same issue with the anti lock and the traction control, brought it to a gm dealer and they said it was probably just a loose connection to the speed sensor in the tire hub. only happened in snow though and fixed itself for spring though.
