Corner Clearer Job

I plan to buy a set of headlights and send them to anyone who would be willing to clear them and send them back to me. Of course I will pay for all expenses of the job and shipping.

And before I receive the: "it's sooo easy" or I am being lazy, etc. Well, I am. A little bit lol. Though simple, seems like a little bit of a delicate job and I would like it done correctly. So paying a nominal fee for excellence does not bother me and I know I do not have the patience to sit there for an hour with a hair dryer lol.

Pimpalero has first dibs since he said he would be willing a long time ago, and his results look good. But this post covers my bases just in case he has changed his mind.

I am playing with the idea of painted cleared or simply cleared. If anyone has some painted cleared headlights to put on display I would be happy to see them.

All resumes and references will be examined thoroughly...

i could clear them for you, no big deal at all. pretty easy. ive taken apart the headlights 4-5 times now lol. also i would keep them clear, it would look better on a white car... unless you are trying to do a black/white theme on the exterior. but yeah i can do em if you need, not hard. one thing.. is you might not like how i seal the headlights.. lol ill have to take a picture of mine where i sealed em..

when i say they are sealed they ARE SEALED. alot of caulk around the crease.. but gets the job done. unless you want it done a specific way i can do that too, just let me know, i'd be happy to help you out.

I appreciate it. SEALED is fine. I am buying a second set of headlights just for this purpose and keeping a set of yellow stock just in case I get my pee-pee smacked somewhere. There are no other complications other than being air tight though right?

Clear as in no darkening? How dark were you thinking? I just worry about there being TOO much white. The slightly tinted do not look bad from what I have seen.

Hahaha well I mean just stick with a chrome bezel. Not paint it.. but it's your car its Just my opinion. And I painted my whole bezel black. Some people just do part of it but when I tried That I ripped the chrome look off with the tape I used. And it will be sealed good trust me lol

with some decent caulk (preferably warm so its easier to work with), some paper towels, a screwdriver and a 200*F oven. This is quite easy to do.

I've done 2 sets, one twice. soo... 3 pairs total. pretty easy. And new ones are even easier.. the gray glue they use reseals.. so you don't need as much caulk afterwards.

Xander, if pimp doesn't, i'd pick someone close who is willing.... save on costs a bit.

I just told him 30$ for me to do it lol that's for a little bit of gas and caulk for the headlights.

For anyone who would like their corners cleared for them in the future-sleepy is a standup guy to do it if he is willing. We went through a lot of BS getting all the stuff completed but he was rock solid.

Just say NO to cleared corners!!!

I'm with Kwhauck. I don't like the cleared look, especially on a white car. However, I am thinking of painting the bezel black (also behind the amber lense). I think that would look great and pass inspection in West Virginia!
