Cleared corners

Cleared my corners and painted my bezels red with krylon. Will get back on tomorow (later today) once I have them put back together and I get some sleep. Its 5 am here.

here they are. Opinions. Be brutally honest on what you think.

robalero 05-28-2011 08:30 PM

wondered what it would look like red p.s. you have a burnt bulb out or a missing one by the pictures.

I honestly don't mind it its not ugly

the_weber 05-28-2011 08:54 PM

Yea the bulbs bunt out. But I just ordered some silverstars for them. Idk I think it looks good. Unique definitely, especially here in Alaska

It looks good up this close. You should take a picture at night and a little farther back, it will show it off better. And people only really focus on headlights at night... i hope.

bshatney 05-28-2011 09:11 PM

looks good. just like what i did with mine, except i didnt do all the bezel, just the front of it.

Oldsnut 05-29-2011 02:51 AM

Looks OK but I would have only painted the front of the bezel.

Did you use an adhesion promoter before paint?

the_weber 05-29-2011 06:00 AM

no. just paint then a real light coat of clear

kwhauck 05-29-2011 10:00 AM

I think they look good!

Once you get the silverstars in it should look great

JLw7123 05-29-2011 02:47 PM

looks great.

$hawn 05-29-2011 03:04 PM

Looks ok, but I think it would look better if they were black.

Adhesion promoter?

billytheman1188 05-29-2011 07:03 PM

I would have lightly sanded the part before painting it.....and use some promoter. the sun will be beating down on it, it gets hot.....might chip off..... looks good though.

the_weber 05-29-2011 07:07 PM

I live in Alaska so it doesnt get over 70 more than 3 times a year and we don't get much sun either.

I painted mine with Krylon flat black without sanding or using the promoter. Three years now, and no signs of cracking or chipping.

the_weber 05-29-2011 07:11 PM

That eases my nerves a lot. I used krylon red, no sanding or promoter. Looks like I'll be alright then. thanks
