Highbeam LED bulb
I've searched around a little bit and couldn't find anything. Has anyone used LED bulbs as their highbeams? I currently have silverstar ultras and I hate how yellow they look, but see no need to go HID since I already have HID lows. I'm curious as to how bright they can actually get. They will basically only be used as DRL's

Your best bet is to go hid to be honest, which if you did this you would have to disable DRL's anyway

http://autolumination.com/headlights.htm
scroll down and look at the 9007 stock replacement bulbs, comes in different colors. |
LED headlight bulbs are useless.
and sleepy its 9005 for highs and 9006 for low's. that 9007 is for single beam headlights for dual hi/low |

look at lumens. and then look at the lumens of those LED headlights. they are for show only. |

Oops haha well he can look thru the site it has some good stuff |
but then again, if you are just using them for DRL's and will never use high beams because of the HID lows, then I dont really see a problem with them.
|
Yea, I NEVER use my high beams, this is just strictly for the DRL and giving it a more white look. Kinda off topic, but has anyone used HIR's? I read about em on a bimmer site and they were raving about em

eh.... if you really wanna spend that much on a headlight bulb go ahead..
http://hirheadlights.com/ you could get these cheap as hell on ebay, i got the same pair from them and they look good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/9005-...#ht_3730wt_939 or these. http://autolumination.com/images/aut...7_8500k_wm.jpg now a comparison to HID look bulbs on my car and REAL HID's...... here is HID look bulbs from ebay for $7.95. ![]() and here is DDM tuning HID's. ![]() ![]() ![]() hope this helps, they look good and pretty nicely compared to an actual HID bulb and pretty white for what you want. (suburban on the right has the HID look bulbs in it, i gave them to him when i got my HID's.) |
thanks, exactly what i was looking for!
