Passlock SL2 issue with Alero 99
 

I have a 99 Alero and since the beginning of the summer I have a problem with my remote starter. I can not start my car with my remote control. When I press the start button, the lights turns on once, then twice quickly and car won't start. And the light on my antenna for the starter is always on when the car is not running (before it's was flashing). But my doors still open with my remote. I did some research and it say that I am in ''valet'' mode and I have to disable it with a button under the dash on the driver side. I can't find any button here. I try everything, I even reprogrammed my Passlock but still have the same problem. Car won't start but door still open.

Who put the alarm in?

They need some kind of bypass mod for Passlock in GM cars

I have no alarm. It's just door lock/unlock, trunk and remote start.

What brand is the remote start?

If it's a prostart, press the unlock and start simultaneously. The LED should flash quickly.

My remote it's a AUTOSTART. I tried all possible combinations on it but nothing works.
