Oil pressure gauge
I'm trying to install an oil pressure gauge and was wondering how people are doing this. Should I purchase an oil filter adapter and a sender for more accurate reading or would the stock sender be accurate enough? And where do I find the stock sensor?
|
the stock sender is accurate, use a electrical one though, other wise you gotta run a nylon tube to the guage inside the car, imagine if that line broke inside the car... very messy
|
instead of the nylon tube use the copper upgrade... much less chance of it breaking, just be careful not to kink it or you wont get an accurate reading...
to install both you need a 1/4" T fitting, then install both the stock unit and the aftermarket unit |
i still would not like an oil line running through the interior of my car

I had a mech oil gauge in the car, and the oil is still there.
I had a copper line too. I could never get it to seal right at the filter. "T" fitting with 2 female ends and one male end. Little bit of teflon tape, and your set ;) On the 2.4 the sending unit is under the IDI cover IIRC |
