what tips did you use,
your car looks very nice

AGT 04-13-2012 12:19 PM

I like but I fear for your rims just looking. Is it me or do they appear to be needing some lip protection

lonnie 04-13-2012 12:46 PM

Those rims are really nice, but you do need some lip protection...road rash will happen no matter how careful you are. Aside from that the car looks great!

XanderWiFi 04-13-2012 09:56 PM

How did you get the dual exhaust bumper? I like it.

[ion] C2 04-13-2012 10:10 PM

probably cut it with a dremel or other tool that has the ability cut a piece of plastic with... o_O

Thanks for the feedback guys...The tips are Kool-Vue and as for cutting the bumper, I had Tuffy cut it when they did the system for me. They did a really great job... And yes the rims need lip protection badly. I really like them but have to be extremely cautious when driving on these Michigan roads. It appears to be enough clearance for slightly larger tires but i"m not sure if it will throw off my speedo.

Nice Alero! Yea, your speedo is already off since you have those big rims. I used to have 18s and i hated it cause i had to be SO careful on the roads....went through a ridiculous amount of tires.

Also....i LOVE that color.:coolio:

Speedo wont be off with tires that match the stock wheel diameter...

Thanks... I don't think the speedo's off. I haven't got around to checking it out though either. Even though their 20's, they're the same height as my stock wheels. If I go with a 35 series tire, then it would definitely be off. Yeah I'm pretty sure I'll need new tires yearly. Low profiles wear pretty fast :(

btw the color really has grown on me. I hated it at first. I was debating painting it black when I get a body kit.

That's the only way that I'm aware of to do it, but they look so even and recessed that it doesn't look cut. Mine are but, but they don't look like that.

Did you have them cut both sides to be completely even or did you leave the one side the same stock?

howie2336 04-14-2012 11:14 PM

The left side was untouched. Me and the guy at Tuffy made a template and measured from the outside in on where to cut on the right side. I don't know what he used to cut it. At the time, my car was in there for about a week because I had my clutch done there too.
