New from Nova Scotia
Hey guys,
Well to start off I guess i should introduce myself. My name is Mason and I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I'm 17 years young and i bought my first car on the 3rd of February 2012. That car just so happens to be a 2001 Alero GX (2dr Coupe) I'm not sure what i want to do to my car yet but plain old factory stock vehicles are boring and now that the weather is getting a bit nicer I have the chance to do some work on my car as I do not own a garage just a goodsized shed and a big driveway :P So far the only thing I've done to my alero since i got it was fill it up with gas :hanged: and put some better wipers on it. If I get around to it I'll clean up my car tomorrow and get some pictures up although its nothing special. 119,000 km and not a single bit of rust Anyways I'll wrap this post up. I hope to enjoy my time here on Aleromod and meet some great people |
Welcome to the family Mason.

Pay to have some coilovers made and then sell em to me half price!

Welcome!
If you dont have the money to mod, then just use what money you can to keep her nice and shiny! :) Everyone is jealous of well maintained cars. But im sure that since this is your first car, it will soon be your baby and you will take care of it. |
Welcome Mason! New wiper blades are a good start. Did that myself! They'll tell you to use the search button and thats good advice. Lots of info just ready for the takin'.
My Alero is just so picture perfect that it really needs nothing more to be a really great ride. But like all the rest, I like working with it, and making it my kind of cool. How about adding a new, better air intake system for a start? Warm air or cold air systems are really affordable and can make a big difference in the way your car performs, the way it sounds and the way it looks when you pop the hood in front of your buddies. Search here and EBay, and the web. You'll find lots of cool add ons that you'll have fun thinking about, and installing them on your little coupe. Good luck! |
Welcome to the site.

cold air/warm air like previously mentioned and upper front and rear strut bars are great place to start the mods!

Good. Previously mentioned, you should clear your corners and paint your bezel. It's a great beginner mod to do. :) |

It is a nice little mod....BUT make sure when you put them back together that everything is fit snug.....or else in a year or two your chrome on the inside will start coming loose which will make your lights bounce all around when you hit bumps  I did have clear corners then i bought a set from someone on here with the amber lens and kept it like that. I actually like the amber part a lot better now than i did 5 years ago. Intake, exhaust, front and rear strut bars....prob the cheapest/most noticeable mods you can do. |
