Traded my 02 GX (Lots of Pics)
I no longer own my Alero. It was definitely good to me in the short time that I had it. I had planned on supercharging it and then got a trade offer that I couldn't pass up which basically killed a few birds with one stone (s/c, leather and moonroof)... I told the new owner about this site and about ASS. Hopefully he makes the trip, seeing that he's 30 mins from Lansing.
Here's a few final pics of her. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Traded for 98 GTP Daytona Edition Pace Car no. 174/1500 (only 200 came w/moonroofs).

I definitely miss my Alero. The 2.2 5-speed was a sweet setup and fun to drive. Not to mention fuel efficient. Since I was planning on supercharging it, I couldn't pass this up. I'm definitely pleased with the trade. I also recently picked up the 82 Mercury Capri pictured on the right.

your ho was a pretty one but i still think you got a hell of a deal

very nice

Maybe it's just me, but I think the Alero looks better...but I understand that you want performance.

I agree the Alero looks much better then the GTP I would have kept the alero for DD & build on the Capri for summer fun... Here is a really fast GTP i would like to see an Alero as powerful as this one , one day... Link-->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ew-sg...eature=related |
Both cars have their pros and cons. Overall, the Alero was an overall better daily driver but kinda small for my needs. The GP is a gas guzzler. I do miss the 5-speed though... When I did the trade, I had performance in mind and also didn't have the Capri yet... I already have most of the stuff for the stage 1 upgrade though... I'm gonna start driving my truck and start working on both the Capri and GTP. I want to take both to the track (US-131 Srag Strip, Martin, MI) this summer.
