Need new A-pillar gauges

Well, the old glowshift gauges i have are completely shot, they dont read anymore. Called them and my warranty on em is a year past the time they can replace it... so time to buy new....

any of you have any good recommendations on gauge brands? Looking for a replacement Oil Pressure gauge (electric, dont wanna have an oil line running into the car) and also looking for a replacement Volts gauge. My AEM wideband i payed 180$ for new and its still kickin pretty good. so that one is the only one not getting replaced.

I'm looking at one replacement oil pressure gauge that ive heard from other forums thats good, looks just like my glowshift... but i think glowshift are a knock off from these.

Here is a link to the first replacement. 52mm ProSport electrical oil pressure gauge.

http://prosportgauges.com/52mm-elect...ure-gauge.aspx

still searching on a nice volt gauge thats not rediculously priced... preferrably wanting black back plates with red lighting.

Searching prosport i found a volts gauge too, heres the link.

still open to opinions though. cause im not dead set. these are just in my option right now. still searching around for others.

DeFi is also REALLY nice. but they want 137$ for volts gauge... and like 230 for oil pressure. screw that.

seems that prosport has quite a lot of good reviews from many different car owners... and for around 83$ for both gauges. im quite satisfied at that price.

Really? Wow I thought glowshift was supposed to be top notch... Glad I didn't invest in them.

I would recommend Stewart Warner gauges.
They have been around a long time and they make a good gauge.

Try Marshall Instruments. They do a lot of OEM and private label stuff.

Autometer /end thread

There is a guy on eBay named "ihavethebestperformanceprices" and his prices are cheaper than Summit Racing

i figured you would say autometer, :p i was looking at quite a few, actually. they are in my choices atm. still leaning towards prosport.

gonna keep lookin around.

Blitz makes really nice gauges. but man are they expensive, Along with ApexI gauges. those are really sweet. but to much for my budget.

spc2125 10-24-2012 05:48 PM

I have the prosport oil pressure gauge. Its easy to install. but its not really high quality. Better than glowshift, but its no defi gauge. If money isnt an issue, id go defi

sleepyalero 10-24-2012 08:07 PM

beautiful, yeah money is a little issue right now. but i dont think i would ever spend 230+$ for a DeFi gauge, they may be nice performance wise but you are paying for the luxury that the gauge has, i mean those things look sweet as hell! but to me it seems your paying more for the looks of the gauge. plus i cant see myself buying 2 gauges that will cost me 300-400$ total. just to expensive for my taste.

ive looked at a lot of reviews for prosport and 95% ive read are pretty good so far, and i like the look they have for being so low priced. yet if you compared them to glowshift you could see that they are almost identical to glowshifts, i think glowshift just knocks off from them. plus i like that the prosport performance series has a tinted screen so when the car is off, you dont see the gauge, so its making me lean more toward it.

maybe im just looking at defi wrong, ive seen good reviews on em. but god they are just to darn expensive. if i could find gauges like that for around 100 a piece or less, i'd be all over them.

my car comes first, no matter what the case. sex is not my first priority, my car comes first! before anything.

but i rather put 400$ towards lowering then i would some gauges... i just need ones to get by with right now, if these crap out, then i will finally learn not to go "cheap" on aftermarket gauges.

spc2125 10-24-2012 10:30 PM

I would say prosport is prob the way to go then. Not too cheap looking, but definitely not the best.

wrestlingandrunning 10-25-2012 12:04 AM

Me and a buddy both got prosport gauges, he got his immediately I had to wait a month. He never had an issue with them, I had to return all of them and replace them and took over 2 months and they have terrible customer service.

sleepyalero 10-25-2012 07:35 AM

dang how long ago was that?

JLw7123 10-25-2012 09:10 AM

I would go with pro sport I just ordered 4 gauges from them they should be here Monday. I got oil pressure water temp exhaust temp and boost for when I drop in the new engine.
