The link just sends me to their home page. What is you want to install?

As long as you know how to weld, or find some high quality u band clamps, you'll be fine.

Don't get that one, 3" pipe (what is required for that inlet) is to large for a stock 3400. however the same muffler with a 2.5" inlet would be a good choice if you are replacing all the pipe. if not the stock pipe is 2" IIRC, but don't quote me on that.

Close, stock is 2.25.

That's not what you want. You could get it, but the guys at the exhaust shop will not be too happy with you.

You can get either a 2.5 in and out offset/offset (maybe even offset/offset same side) and it should fit in place nicely. Welding onto stock exhaust which is 2.25.

OR

You could look for an 80 series that has an in/out on the same side. They made these for "transverse" muffler cars (like the alero/grand am etc) but only have one cutout in the bumper.

OR

do it like I did and take the car to a body shop and have the other cutout molded into the bumper, then do 2 Flowmaster Super 44's

I still like the fact that a shop told me that 2 Flowmaster 44's could not be installed on an Alero, even after I showed them a pic of a car with the job completed :rolleyes2:

you want to see my set-up Search the thread "Redog out of hiding"

I'm pretty sure the stock exhaust is 2in....idk it's been about 5 years since i measured but i know my borla is 2.25 and i don't think the stock piping is is the same size.

Dual outs will not line up with the exhaust cut out in the rear bumper. 3" inlet is a bit large, but you could use a reducer from Autozone or someplace. What tip are you going to use?

Im not sure yet, Im just browsing around lol. I wanna be super loud though.

JLw7123 01-19-2013 12:40 AM

Why do you want your car loud to annoy people. I had 2.25 mandrel bent piping and a flowmaster 80 series muffler and it sounded great. Never had a problem with the police. Also 44 series are great also redogs alero sounds great. But u will need headers to get the full potential of the exhaust. A loud exhaust causes attention and you will be stopped by the police and probably given a ticket for loud exhaust. But if you like paying fines make your car loud as hell.

borla is in fact same size piping as stock.
