Pacesetter headers questions

Anyone know where I can get a flex pipe that is 2.7" x 3" to add to my pacesetter crossover? I can't find anything with this stupid diameter.

and has anyone used the stock metal gaskets without problems?

i got MMS gaskets, and had milzy make me a custom DP.

maybe Milzy has one lying around? or go to an exhaust shop and have em fab up 1

Same here and I've got the pacesetters also

I've decided to go a different direction with this, I'm going to cut the crossover after it reduces to 2.5" and weld on a flange or v band, so I can weld both the rear header and the bottom end of the crossover to the Y where it keeps leaking. it will give me the 1/8th of an inch I need and the ability to remove it all again without dropping the subframe.

so no flex pipe needed, and I picked up some stock gaskets.

Ever finish this 03 I'd love some pictures

only pic I have, I was in a rush to get them back on the car.

ended up using an 2.5" x 8" flex pipe and a 2.5" V band on the crossover, so the Y could be welded to the bottom of the crossover and the rear header, and still be removed without dropping the subframe. so this shit better not leak again or I'm going back to the stock exhaust.

I also cut off and patched over the egr bung, because egr sucks. (Pics of why later)

Have you had many problems with them leaking?
Where at specifically?

I have, the clamps they give you for the Y are junk, I had the crossover separate from the Y 3 times, even after it was tacked and re clamped. But since there is no flex in the exhaust system at all it would always crack the welds and separate again. I have had problems with this exhaust since I put it on, and they were never fun to fix. So this time I removed the whole exhaust and laid solid welds all the way around. I plan on getting some solid engine and trans mounts too.

i have my y pipe tack welded to the rear header/downpipe. no leaks been like that for 3 months now.

after i got the 6 speed with solid mounts and solid motor mount, the y pipe kept coming disconnected after a few times going WOT. after i got it tack welded ive had no problems.

I also drive my car a lot more than most (if not all) of the people on here (or did when I was having the problems) and I scraped a lot driving out to the rig on some of the worst effing roads in the state. So I'm sure that contributes to it, but I was sick of messing with it so I decided to do it right this time.

good idea, they are great headers just a little work to make em work.

Ok, so I was running really rich with all the leaks, with my egr still on. This was the result

The tb took 40 minutes to clean alone. this goo was at least 1/8th of an inch thick.

Eff egr.

EW! my tb has never ever been that dirty! even when i did have an egr! delete your egr!!! you'll be much happier (atleast i am) knowing that non of that nasty crap is being recycled back through your motor to make it cleaner.

if you have a cat, you'll blow through em quicker, might as well delete that too. i did haha.

I don't have egr anymore (see pics of headers)...and I kinda like my cat, but when it dies I'll probably do without one.
