Where is the Daytime Running Light Resistor?
I would like to know, where to look for the Resistor in the original US Alero.
I have a 2004 (2.4L) "Chevrolet" Alero and I don't have Daytime Running Light, because it is disabled in the EU originally. I am not sure if it is removed or just unplugged, so I would like to know, where to look for it. I want to install LED Daytime Running Lights and before I buy a cheap China Resistor or an original replacement, I would like to check if I have to. Thanks for any help in advance. |
I'm not sure if it'll work with the"Euro"headlights as they are a different bulb than ours... either way it's in the fuse box under the hood and I'm pretty sure it's relay # 21...

I think its relay #22, look on under side of fuse box cover and look for "DRL" and it should tell you what relay.

It's 22 for sure. That's the one that I took out to disable mine.

Thanks for the answers. I will look for it.
I want to install external LED lights next to the fog lights, so it's not a problem if the head lights don't have it. I am just not sure, if I can use the original system for it or should I buy one of those controler units if I want the LED lights going on and off automatically based on weather the headlights are on or off. |
I found the #22 in the fusebox and it's there.
![]() I still don't have DRL. What to do now? I assume, I need this: ![]() But where is it? |
