Cng
Has anybody looked into converting their 3.4 to compressed natural gas? I checked into it five or six years ago but stopped the research when I discovered there was no way to fill up the tank. There is now a CNG facility in my hometown and was thinking of starting up the research again.
Thanks |
CNG is most of the time not worth the effort. The tanks are too heavy for what you get out of it.
LPG is a different thing, tanks are lighter (hence a bit more volume) but not as efficient as CNG could be. Check GMs engine portfolio, they have quite some CNG engines offered, maybe u find one that is on the same 60° V6 platform as our LA1s |
