car wouldnt start cuz cable got white stuff on it but hot as well. not the wire but the post why could be the system not good enough ground?

Actually, the white stuff is called corosion, it's something that happens with an old battery / old woman, but in all seriousness, it means your battery is dying. Get a new one, next?

ya your battery is shot. get a new group 70 battery. or optima.

well i changed the bad cable havent bought the battery yet but still getting the post hot i mean hot....im thinking it might b the amp (stereo)going to run it with out it and c !!

just because the battery post is corroted does not mean the battery is shot does it? I've never heard of that before.

thats usually what it starts doing when its going bad.........all batterys that ive seen gone bad actually had this problem some werent so bad but my moms which i recently changed was so bad......
