I am wanting to run all four of my regular speakers and the subs if possible through my carputer, and i really dont know where to start on this. i still have stock speakers but looking to upgrade. my question is, is it possible to run them through a 5.1 surround sound card and if so, how can the speakers be adapted for those types of plugs required for the sound card? lmk thanks

Was looking around and found this resource, it might answer other questions of yours: http://www.teamcombooks.com/mp3handbook/10.htm
I recommend keeping it simple, use a headphone stereo jack to 2 RCA stereo jacks, as seen here: http://216.239.63.104/search?q=cache:cOT8_...lient=firefox-a Yer output on sound card ![]() the cable you need. ![]() |

I would recomend running it through an amp instead of just trying to go straight to the speakers. Most sound cards only put out a few watts at the most. Also since you have a sony deck they have an adapter that conects like a cd changer and gives you a usb input that acts as a sound card.

Where are you putting it? If every get enough mulah for a lilliput lcd Im gonna hardwire a computer (components individually) into the glove box.
|
since i plan on not keeping the alero, im just using the mount that comes w/ the lilliput screen i just bought off ebay on the dash itself (above the center A/C vent), i do have a lilliput screen thats molded to fit where the radio is if you would be interested...

I meant where are you putting the computer?
And sorry there is a lack of money at this end. :( |
aleromaster did a hell of a job building it, its in a portable case so basically im just gonna sit it in the leg space of my rear seats so its easy access.

hey wy3134, i'm still interested in the screen if the price is right... the mounts are attached to the screen and i use the dash piece i already have right? cause i have the OSV stuff, and dont want to get rid of them, or alter them.
pm me so i dont miss the answer in this thread. |
