would the pacesetter 4-2-1 ceramic coated header, or the OBX 4-1 stainless steel header be better for a 2.4, as far as quality and performance?

pacesetter, IMO and from the experience of others is a big no-no, poor quality. the j-guys like the OBX one, plus its stainless and can be got on ebay for less than the pacesetter. If you got the money go with stan's, best gains, period.

the only 4-2-1 header for the 2.4 is Stan's. OBX and pacesetter and RKSport are all 4-1. I would say OBX.

I would say none of them since they're all junk in the first place.
Go get a dremel and a few bits, and open that biotch up.

a ported stock manifold won't compare to a good header like stan's... there are especially huge gains to be had if you're supercharged

a ported cast manifold will not produce as much hp and torque as a header. This has been proven time and time again.

Hmm, Stan's headers seem awfully expensive..
Wouldn't the OBX / Pacesetter be a cheaper yet better bang for the buck?
Also, is the 2.4L headers for the Cavalier the same as the ones for our 2.4L??

OBX is a better bang for your buck. It is made out od stainless steel which makes it better than pacesetter.
Any header for a 99+ cav will work on our cars. just need to have a shop do the downpipe.
