My wonderful boyfriend bought me the XM SKYFi unit and car adapter for Christmas. I didn't want to bother with/spend money on a whole new HU. But now, where do I put it? There's not a flat surface on the dash! We had it mounted on the passenger side, top left of the glovebox, but it fell off. Right now it's riding around in the cubby under the HU. It's really hard to see there though, and not ideal, not being mounted at all.
So, where does it go? I think this weekend we'll just have to fab up some kind of mounting where I can see it. I was just wondering if anyone else had some insight, maybe even a pic of where you put it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

how does it mount? you could rig something up sorta like the tv stands and go above the center heating vent.

I don't really want it to stick up really far on the dash, that's just asking to be pulled over around here.
The link in my sig kinda shows how it mounts. It's got a little holder/adapter that you can stick right on, or a little swivel-y mounting thing. It doesn't swivel very far though, so it has to mount mostly facing the driver.
He wants to put it right over the vent, but that doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Although, that's how they show it on the website...

Mounted it up today, it looks pretty good. We ran the antenna wire around the rear window, through the trunk, under all the trim, and around the radio.
We zip-tied the biatch to the center right vent.
