dont have one

smlzalero 04-16-2005 04:27 PM

Peel back the plastic??

My gauges came with the kind of connector where you stick the wire from the gauges in one side and put the wire from the plug in the other and snap it closed and then when you crimp it shut it slices thru both wires, connecting them. Pretty spiffy, ifyou dont have one of them, I would stop at a HW store and pick some up, very handy. :)

I'm pretty sure it's the one I circled, you can use a test thing where you stick the pointy thing in there and clamp the wire to a power wire and if it lights up, that's your ground...

Mr_White 04-16-2005 04:30 PM

I know what ur talking about but it did not come with those gess ill have to go get some but my sh*t is all torn apart damit

smlzalero 04-16-2005 04:32 PM

Well, that's just the easiest. I would, if the store is close youre prolly fine...

just plug it back in and lay it in the hole. worked for me..lol

Mr_White 04-16-2005 04:36 PM

& there is a black stripe on that wire right

smlzalero 04-16-2005 10:01 PM

Ooooo Sorry!!

I dunno, it's the only gray one, tho.

Mr_White 04-17-2005 01:44 PM

The wire that I had to use is a kind of grey color & NO black strip """ red arrow """

The other wire is grey with a black strip that one did'nt work for me

The ground screw is right

Every thing works perfect

smlzalero 04-17-2005 02:15 PM

 sorry, that wire looks white in this pic.

Glad everything worked out for ya! :thumb:

You should post thiat pic ^ in the "How To" for installing these gauges, I looked around for a week and couldn't find anything, that's why I had to use the tester-thingy.

snake_eyes2 04-17-2005 02:23 PM

Truth be told I just wired mine int the little light in the center console. its easy, its there. I ran the control for the gauges into the glove box. I will post pics monday as I am at work. ARRGH work on a sunday.
