I don't know if this is a repost but I thought I would post it anyways. I saw this on another forum I am a member on. Click HERE and HERE for pictures.

And just so everyone knows....this wasn't made by a civic driver but for an eclipse instead....not that they are any better.

doubleN0alero 05-17-2005 09:52 AM

rice is still rice no matter how you dish it up

johny_boy32 05-17-2005 10:12 AM

^dido^ It is so funny reading some of the posts on that site, half of the punk @$$ kids think it will actually work and the other 1/2(Obviously the wiser and more knowledgable) know it wont.

Crolero 05-17-2005 10:18 AM

Lol.. the ice is OUTSIDE the tube. And that mod is totally good for 0.05 hp

doubleN0alero 05-17-2005 11:06 AM

which doesn't compensate for the extra weight that you're hauling around.

If you were in a high humidity area you could build condensation on the inside of the tube.

Vtolds 05-17-2005 11:50 AM

They do that little trick for drag racing but mostly for cars with turbos, to keep the air cold.

Crolero 05-17-2005 11:50 AM

cold pipes and warm air will cause condensation. Chem 101 :thumb:

several hundred degree engine turns that back to vapor pretty damn fast ;)

eag182 05-17-2005 01:00 PM

any of those import drivers realize most of their cars were made here?

fusion 05-17-2005 01:17 PM

They have a better system then that dumb rice box intake...

The Cryo CO2 kits are SIIIICK...

I think somebody had or has that on their car.

Â;-) here's a link: http://www.designengineering.com/pro...asp?m=sc&cid=1

from what i've read on other forums these kits are pretty worthless........
and i agree with -alero- you might as well get nitrous.........any compressed air is cold when you let it out because of the pressure change.......

fusion 05-17-2005 09:55 PM

Well, obviously these kits are designed to be used with turbo kits, considering how
hot they can get.

Obviously paying mad bills for this system by itself is not worth it.

And besides.. this post was in reply to the funny rice box intake... not on how to boost horsepower... especially when the CryO2 intake cooler is put inside the tube, thus decreasing some of the air flow.

my 2 cents.

If u want HP bang for the buck, then yes, NoS

still worthless with turbo kits from what i have read.........intercoolers get the job done........a lot of people have seen no gain to even a small loss using these cryo sprayers......the only good i have heard they are for is to spray an intercooler during dyno tuning to better simulate the cold air if you were actually driving......

AlbinoMonkeyRat 05-18-2005 02:50 PM

I still don't know if this is better or worse than the guy who hooked up a Toro leaf blower motor up to his intake...lol
