I noticed that my car was vibrating down the road when I get up to about 65 mph so I took it in to get a front end alignment and they told me that it was my inner tie rods that were bad and it would cost me $400+ to replace............has anyone had tohave thiers replaced and how hard is it to do on your own?

if you've never done suspension work before, I would NOT suggest tie rods to be your first project. That price sounds about right if you're getting both done though.

I have done some suspension work before on other cars. The inner tie-rod on the drivers side of my alero is bad and needs replaced. The Hanes Manual has a section for chaning the tie rod, but I'm not sure how difficult it really is.

i had mine done not too long ago, thats a lil steep actually...i think it ended up costin me 300$+tax installed...

For inner tir-rods at Adavance Auto Parts they are 38 dollars. I would much rather install them myself, rather than pay someone even 300 dollars

I had one replaced for $75 including the part.

heh...Mine cost me $275 parts and labor and lifetime warranty...and the warranty covers labor costs. |
if you do it your self mesure your old rods so you can get it close so can drive it to alignment shop.
