Ok good to know. I did however forgot to unhook the battery when I installed the new switch, but last night I left the battery unhooked all night and tried it again. Still stays on.

I just changed my ignition switch but the security light stays on but car starts fine. Light never went off did I not do it long enough? I did it a good 10 min, then tried it again for about 15...

Just a suggestion you might try a silhouette steering wheel, they have radio controls and you will still have the oldsmobile symbol
