control arm removal

I've been having issues getting the vertical bolts off the control arms. Anyone have any tips or tricks? I'm worried about snapping the head off the bolt or the clip on top.

Those tails had been on kijiji for most of this year if I'm remembering right. Just never had the extra cash to pick them up. They look good!

Yea, that doesnt sound like a pleasant experiance. But at least the car is running again. Hopefully its just the laptop being the issue.

This is why I asked. If there was a fairly cheap and easy way to keep some surface rust from spreading, and getting worse, then fine. If not, then I'll just leave it be.
