I doubt it would be the sway bar. I suppose it could be a lateral link, but my first guess would be the trailing arm.

If it's a trailing arm, should be pretty cheap, even new.

Ah ok. It's been a while since I got rid of the Alero. Mine didn't have the AIR system anyway, but the wrecked GAGT I bought a few years back did. I seem to recall the only thing on the drivers...

Do you have access to a 2x4 and a drill? take a 2' length of 2x4 and drill a hole in the middle of it at one end, make sure it's big enough to slide over the ratchet handle.

Yup, what natedawg said. You need something to extend the socket handle and give you more leverage. Leverage is your friend. The WD40 will only go so far. PB Blaster is better at breaking old...
