Yeah I could also really use a picture of the firewall grommet people are using. I found one that you're probably talking about but I'll be damned if I can actually reach it from the engine side.

These ideas are both good, but they sound expensive and time consuming. I'm just looking for a decent, cheap, quick-fix. Like a good cover or paint or something.

Just got a 99 Alero and I love it. It's in great shape and definitely an upgrade from what I was driving before. The only visual defect on the inside is the paint/vinyl/coating on the steering wheel...
