i have those mounts and i think they would be perfect on 6 1/2's.....my 5 1/4's are a lil small and the holes didnt match up, as far as depth they are about an inch 1/2 from the glass and the door panel went on relatively easy.........just had to guide it a lil more careful than usual.........
