Most service places and part stores, ie Kragen, Pep Boys, Advance auto, Napa, Will test your alternator for free.
It's most likely you're alternator, or the connections. Have the battery tested as a precaution. I've seen new batteries go right after an intall. You have to be careful where you buy them, and how long they've been sitting in some warehouse.
