I finally got a reply back from Charles at DHP. Here it is:
" we could do these ,but they would be BETA. IF they didn't wokr right the first time, we'd update them. But it needs to be very clear to people it might need a flash or two to get it perfected. With that said, we'll do them, but people need to have some level of understanding and patience as I don't want to honor a gropu buy rate only to get my ass handed to me if someone has a problem initially .
As far as "problems" would go, nothing catastrpophic, but maybe something simple / stupid like fan turn on gets missed or we map that wrong. The timing and fuel stuff is normally easy to find....
We would need VIN #'s from any one ordering.

I replied back telling him I was still interested and would let the other guys know who took part in the group buy.
Let me know what you guys think and I will be the contact point if we decide to proceed. On a side note, I have already mentioned to Charles I thought the Aleros were mapped. Mentioned mfuller's trip to DHP specifically so we will see what he says next. Post you thoughts/decisions and hopefully this can move forward at a decent pace.
