I never heard anything like that. Not saying that it isn't true.

The car does rev a bit quicker and higher under WOT before it hits the shift point.

I noticed a difference the first time at the track, it used to rev upto 3200 in first, after the pulley, i got to 3700 to 3800 before the shift point. That was with an oversize alt pulley, and stock PCM.

I put the DHP PCM 1.0 in the car, although it wasn't needed for pulley.

I talked to my mech today about the car and the timing advance they did. They advacned the timing upto 8 degrees which is when it started pinging, and backed it off to 3 degree above TDC, whcih is the highest the motor would allow
