My mom's truck ('02 GMC Sierra Denali) came from the factory with drilled rotors. There were no adverse effects on the rotors due to the holes. They were only removed once when they were changed (at about 40,000 miles) because they were grooved on the inside (which would've happened to any rotor). I replaced them with some new Baer Decelarotors and they still work fine.
