i checked it out today. The IAC was dirty so i cleaned it with carb cleaner and also cleaned the small hole in the throttle body that goes up to the IAC. After that i reinstalled the IAC and cleaned the TB. Unfortunately it is still idling very high. I dont have a DVOM so i cant really check the valve itself. I did unplug it when the engine was running and it didnt effect it at all. I dont remember if that means the valve wasnt working for some reason or if that was supposed to happen. Can somebody please help me.
