I work at Best Buy and am an installer (ASEP certified) and the Alero harness you need is a harness for all RDS units to where it relocates ur factory deck to the trunk. If you splice the power wire to the wire you're "recommended" to, the unit will actually stay on after the car is shut off and even if the door is opened..it's a pain in the ass. SO, what I did was spliced it to the ignition so it shuts off as soon as the car is shut off (much nicer..for me at least, i didnt like my stereo still POUNDING while i was like walking away from my car and for the next minute or so)
