I agree. The tranny doesn't do the learning but the PCM figures out your driving habits and the car drives accordingly. When I first got my car it was really aggressive with shifting, I'd lay off the gas for half a second and it would shift 2 gears. I'd give it a bit more gas and then it would shift again. Now it shifts down 1 gear and is ready to go when I press the gas again.
