basically alternators contain current through the ammount of coiles within them, our stock alternators were coiled just to be "stock"...recoiling means taking it into a shop and they apply more coils to the coils already within the alternator, if you look at your car's alternator...you see a huge coil of wires, thats what I'm talking about. Basically we just increased the capacity of my alternator, buying a new alt. would be the better decision in the long run becaus a higher capacity alt would last long but not all of us are made out of money. The only cost I incurred was buying the coils, otherwise me and my grandfather did it all ourselves...you gotta check around but most engine shops should be able to do it, or find a certified electrician, they will prolly know how to do it.
